Global Underwater Explorers is a non-profit organization founded by explorers, educators, and researchers around the world who are committed to uncovering the mysteries of the underwater world. These activities pave the way to the study, understanding, preservation and appreciation of the cultural and natural resources hidden below the surface. These experiences have also led to the development of comprehensive training programs, ensuring that divers are able to safely enjoy diving activity while preserving the integrity of the fragile diving environments.

GUE's role is dynamic with a global support network which may include the following:
  • Direct diving support, including research, conservation and exploration initiatives
  • Comprehensive diver training
  • Sharing best practices
  • Developing replicable research models
  • Building collaborative relationships
  • Linking local communities to scientific resources
  • Assisting organizations with efforts to secure funding

The research, exploration and conservation activities of GUE and its membership are showcased in Quest magazine, on GUE's web site and across a wide range of international media.
