Dive Alaska

DIVE ALASKA TRAINING
Dive Alaska offers GUE training at various levels throughout the year. We have an instructor on staff capable of teaching Recreational Diver (1, 2) and Fundamentals of Better Diving. In 2009, we are sponsoring Richard Lundgren for a Tech I class beginning on August 24th.

DIVE ALASKA TRIPS (local)
Dive Alaska operates a 43 foot Delta charter boat in Resurrection Bay. We offer day trips including two dives for $125. Nitrox 32, Triox, and Trimix and argon are all available if desired. Our trips usually depart the Seward small boat harbor at 10:00 am and return around 4:00 pm. Long surface intervals are allowed, and most of our diving takes place on walls and pinnacles, full of bountiful life and beauty, with depths ranging within 35 – 150 foot range. Throughout the summer season our dive boat operates from June through late October. In the wintertime, we dive a local cove in Whittier Alaska. Although not as scenic, WWII debris serves as an artificial reef routinely attracting see wolf eels, octopuses, sea otters, rockfish, and all the invertebrates cold Alaskan waters are known for.

DIVE TRIPS (International)
Dive Alaska has booked a trip to Truk Lagoon for December 4 – 11, 2011. The boat has assured us that they will be able to procure helium, so we anticipate being able to do at least Tech 1 dives on a few of the wrecks.
