Diver, Henning May, enjoys good visibility in the main tank at "Ozeaneum", Germany's largest aquarium.
The main tank at Ozeaneum holds 2.6 million liters of seawater and a variety of fish from the Atlantic Ocean, including two sunfish (called "moonfish" in Germany), 1800 Atlantic mackerels, rays, triggerfish, and the skeleton of a sperm whale which had become stranded in the North Sea and perished.
The aquarium keepers include GUE-trained divers, such as GUE Tech 1 Instructor, Derk Remmers, who are fully equipped with DUI drysuits and Halcyon wings and backplates. They dive regularly in the tank, cleaning the huge window, feeding or catching fish (e.g. for medical treatment), and maintaining pumps and propellers.
