To demonstrate the grid clipping method, I've
modeled part of the Wakulla Spring cave system. Specifically, I've
generated a model of depth throughout three major conduits known as
A, K, and M tunnels which are labeled on the map to the left.
The Wakulla Spring cave system has developed in the
central Woodville Karst Plain south of Tallahassee, Florida where
the Floridan aquifer is partially confined. Recharge in the
Woodville Karst Plain occurs predominantly through sinkholes which
penetrate through the thin confining layer. The picture on the
right shows the Wakulla river not too far from the spring and the
poorly drained swampy topography.
