Additional Info
I was born in the Netherlands, where my sense of adventure led me abroad. While in New Zealand, I tried the “exotic” activity of scuba diving and discovered a profound sense of freedom and serenity underwater. The experience was transformative, and I quickly became captivated by the underwater world and decided to pursue this passion fully, sharing it with others along the way.
After years of teaching scuba diving across Australia, Asia, and Europe, I eventually made my way to Bonaire. I love the freedom Bonaire offers—it’s easy to dive whenever you wish and with whoever shares your passion. This is also where I became a GUE diver. The philosophies and precision GUE brings to diving gave me a deeper sense of control that I hadn’t realized was missing, even after many years as an instructor.
Today, you’ll find me in the water for anything from single-cylinder recreational dives to deep exploration dives on CCR. Whether diving for fun or leading advanced explorations, I’m thrilled to continue sharing my love for diving in this incredible environment. Bonaire offers unique underwater landscapes that make every dive special, and I’m dedicated to helping others discover these treasures. The opportunity to mentor divers here feels like a privilege I am grateful for daily.
